Venue Name: Havelins

Description:

Approximately 1 mile of river upstream of Stourpaine.

Heavy undergrowth lines the nearside riverbank throughout the stretch. As Hanford, deep (8-10ft) even paced stretch offering excellent Roach fishing and good Bream sport when the shoals are located.

Very large Perch are present throughout the stretch with fish well over 3lb possible. Some Chub towards the bottom end of the stretch along with odd Carp and Tench.

Opening Times: Dawn - 2 Hours after Sunset

Top Tip:

Float fishing bread punch in Winter produces good mixed bags of Roach, Bream and Chublets.

Feed chopped worm and ledger lobworms under overhanging trees for quality Perch.

Special notes:

Mainly 8 - 10 ft deep. This fishery is in beautiful surroundings and has good wind protection on the lower half, from the high bank opposite. Pull to edges if using the railway tracks when parking so not to obstruct anglers.

The upstream limit of this fishery adjoins the Hanford fishery.

Close all gates or leave as found.
