Rockford Update

25-10-2012, 08:41

The Committee of Ringwood and District Anglers' Association is delighted to confirm that we have secured the freehold to Rockford Lake.

A water renown as one of the premier Carp waters in Southern England with several very large Carp to over 50lb plus. The water also holds a good head of Bream to 15lb and Tench to double figures.

All together the venue comprises of a 55 acres lake with additional land of approximately 20 acres including much of the land surrounding the Alice Lyle pub and car park.

It is the Committee's wish to preserve the best characteristics of the water, providing the best specimen Carp fishing available in the area.

As a club we are fully aware that not all Ringwood anglers are Carp addicts and therefore intend to make the waters accessible for those anglers wishing to pleasure or match fish or those specimen hunters who want to target the large Tench and Bream.

The Committee hope to announce any new rules which will be implemented as necessary to preserve the quality of fishing at Rockford in due course, access to the water will not be allowed by Members until after 15th March 2013.

RDAA are continually on the look out for new venues to add to our portfolio and are confident that this recent addition will be enjoyed by all.
